- In a round-about way, I was named after the Barry Manilow song Mandy.
- I am married to an amazing man.
- I love my husband.
- My birthday is on Christmas.
- People often forget my birthday because it is on Christmas. Most of the time that doesn’t bother me, but sometimes it does.
- We have 2 kiddos - a girl and a boy
- I like to make things. It makes me feel crafty.
- When my alarm goes off I always hit the snooze, usually more than once.
- I am not a morning person.
- I love to read.
- I can’t name all of the books I have read.
- I don’t like having my picture taken.
- My first kiss was behind the baptismal in my church during Vacation Bible School. I was 13 and he had braces.
- I cry too easily and a lot.
- I love white Christmas lights.
- The opening orchestration from Phantom of the Opera makes me cry - every time I hear it. (see #14)
- I have one sibling, a younger brother. I think he’s great.
- My dream job is being a great stay-at-home, crafty soccer mom.
- I want to have at least 1 more kid.
- I have worked as a waitress, cook, State Senate page, bean field inspector, barista, truck stop cashier, map copier and cataloger, retail sales associate, secretary, paint store employee and safety intern all before I was 21.
- My favorite job was working at a surface coal mine.
- I was on the Mine Rescue Team at the coal mine.
- I love shopping. REALLY love shopping. Especially bargain shopping.
- I buy things just because they are on sale. I think that’s bad.
- I get frustrated with my consumerism.
- I am obsessive to the point of certifiable about document formatting, spacing and font selection on documents I write for work.
- I have a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health with an emphasis in Science and Engineering from Montana Tech in Butte, MT.
- High school was easy for me.
- College was harder, much harder.
- I procrastinate. A lot.
- I don’t go to church. I’m not really into organized religion. But I believe in God. And Karma. Definitely Karma.
- But I don’t have any issues with anyone else belonging to a church. To each his own.
- I have an insatiable sweet tooth.
- One of my biggest pet peeves is parents who park in the handicapped spot (that shouldn’t) at daycare when picking up their kids. Way to set an example.
- I was a bit of a wild woman in college.
- I am very good at being passive aggressive.
- I was a member of the Women’s Mining Team in College. We competed in Reno, NV and took 3rd Place that year.
- I can knit and sew fairly well.
- I have 3 tattoos.
- I am currently very obsessed with the Twilight Saga.
- My favorite ice cream is Tin Roof Sundae, but Cold Stone Cake Batter is a really close second.
- I’ve been to Mardi Gras. That’s all you need to know.
- I am pro-choice.
- I love old school country and rockabilly.
- I also love Britney Spears. A lot. Even after she went bat-shit, ham-sandwich crazy.
- My favorite color used to be bright pink, but now I would have to say it is bright turquoise blue with pink a close second.
- I’m a huge fan of the cheesy movie Center Stage. I watch it weekly.
- I’ m good with remembering pop culture and movie tidbits. I’m good, but my brother is a rainman.
- Facebook is my new obsession – I check it multiple times a day to see what other people are doing. I am a bit of a voyeur.
- I can really hold a grudge and sometimes have a hard time letting it go.
- I think anyone who wants to get married (except for people related to each other) should have the legal right to do so.
- I miss Seattle.
- I love to read and if I start a good book, I will stay up all night to finish it.
- Without my glasses, I’m helpless.
- I want more tattoos.
- My wedding ring is the prettiest I have ever seen. It has my birthstone, a London Blue Topaz in the center.
- I met my husband at an occupational safety conference.
- I have to hold up my hands to tell my left from right.
- I still get my left and my right mixed up.
- Heartfelt commercials and cards can make me cry. Especially if they involve children. (see #14)
- I have a fantastic memory for the sequence and details of events which leads to great storytelling.
- I am 5’2”.
- My husband is at least a foot taller than me.
- I can say the alphabet backwards as fast as I can forward.
- I love the smell of hot, fluffy sheets and towels right out of the dryer.
- I like to cook but my husband does 90% of the cooking in our house.
- I hate to go to the dentist but go every 6 months anyway because I am obsessive about my teeth.
- My favorite constellation is Orion.
- I want to learn to play the piano someday.
- I love our new house.
- I cry when I am frustrated and angry. (see #14)
- It’s a toss-up on which I waste more time – TV or the Internet. Sometimes I waste time on both at the same time via laptop.
- I LOVE my iPhone. L.O.V.E. I don’t know what I did before it.
- I keep everything. I have shoeboxes full of stuff like letters, cards, artwork, objects, etc from when I was a little kid to today.
- I have a hard time forcing myself to drink any water daily.
- When it comes to savings and planning for the future, I am a grasshopper. My husband is an ant.
- I love Softlips Cherry chapstick. It has been my go-to since high school.
- For someone who rarely wears make-up, I own a lot of it.
- I am envious of thin, fit people.
- My “village” of girl friends in Seattle are the best you’ll ever find. I count myself lucky to call them friends.
- I love lists. All kinds of lists ~ to do list, shopping lists, inventory lists, etc.
- I had a falling out with one of the best friends I ever had and I miss her terribly.
- I love hot showers. I will stand in the hottest shower I can stand until the hot water runs out.
- I watch a lot of TV.
- I like to take pictures. Especially of my kids.
- I suffered from serious Post Partum Depression with my first child.
- Scrapbooking is one of my very favorite things.
- I love all the paper, paper, paper. And pretty embellishments.
- The circus creeps me out.
- I eat when I am bored.
- Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite.
- I am not a patient person, but having kids has forced me to work on that.
- I like my job, but wouldn't work full-time if I didn't have to.
- I am almost always running late.
- I set all of my clocks and watches 10-15 minutes fast in the hopes of not being late. It doesn’t work.
- I have 5 watches and all of them read a different time, none of them correct.
- I like to sleep and think a daily nap in the afternoon is a God-given right.
- We cloth diaper our new baby and I love it!
- A pedicure is one sure way of lifting my mood. I ADORE pedicures.
- It has taken me about 5 attempts to complete this current list. (see #29)
